1. Neglect of Roof or Lack of Maintenance

3. Flashing Failures
Flashings provide watertight joints between roofing materials and roof projections like between your roof tiles and your chimney, where lead flashings are commonly used, they can also be used between different roof sections. Flashings are the most vulnerable part of your roof but the good news is that they are easily replaced if they show signs of aging or begin to let in water. The importance to the health of the roofing system cannot be exaggerated, as the roof is only as strong as it's weakest joint. |
